iPad-owning Facebook users who have been eagerly awaiting the iPad version of Timeline, will be glad to know that they shouldn’t have much longer to wait. According to 9to5 Mac today, Facebook is planning to release an update for the iPad app, complete with a bespoke version of Timeline, sometime between mid and late January. The iPad update for the Facebook app was actually due to be released in December, when the iPhone and iPod touch update was released, but was pushed back when bugs were found during eleventh-hour testing. According to 9to5 Mac, the iPad version of Timeline is said to be a “smooth and intuitive†combination of the iPhone/iPod touch and web versions. 9to5 Mac’s source also told them that although Facebook is hoping the update will go live by the end of January at the latest, further delays can’t be discounted, especially if more bugs are discovered or if Apple takes its time approving the update.
