Where did you hear that? It's in iTunes.;) Read the reviews on all the workarounds for flash. Most are negative as they are sluggish, crash and unpredictable.

Need flash? Use your laptop and call it a day.

O.o hahaha yeah I'm wrong....I'm meant that! Edited by Moderator ~ you are not in a bar. Watch your mouth and this isn't the first time~ SP

Still making my mind re Photon. A friend has it and he said it works better than the other options (exc Splashtop) but I have not had the opportunity to use it or see it myself.

What he did mentioned is that although flash videos work ok, magnifying the content to full screen does not seem to work.

Does anybody have this app? Any opinion? I do not want to get yet another flash browser unless it really delivers moree than the others I have.

I could not hold it and I went for it myself. I know it is pricey but it is one of the best flash solutions out there.

It works like a normal browser and you can turn it into a "streaming browser" when needed for flash.

Results for watching flash content are good. No waiting time like in skyfire and better quality than iswifter.

Maximize videos to full screen is a bit tricky but it works ok.

I have only had it for a few hours, but so far it is my "flash capable" browser of choice, just over iswifter, one head over puffin and miles ahead of skyfire.

I have used it to play games though, not interested, but I can test it if required.

Thanks. I have that in place. I really appreciate your help. I got the tip for splash top from here so when I couldn't work it out I got a little disappointed, so I'm really pleased to have it all sorted.

Hi it's me again, I have splash top running but splash top on my iPad won't verify my gmail account. Any ideas?

Do you have the latest version of the desktop and iPad app?

Also, remember that the iPad, by default, sets to upper case the first letter of the first word of what it considers a new sentence so, if your password has a lower case first letter, check it's not being set to upper case 'automatically'.

the sound is to low

Not at all - my laptop, that I access from all around the world using Splashtop, is connected to my ADSL router via WiFi and is not hardwired or connected to Ethernet. It works just fine.

tim i just got my ipad2 and have just downloaded splashtop streamer, and finally got my ipad to connect to my computer, i have previously written this in other forums but no one will reply, tim i can hardly hear the sound once my ipad is connected to my laptop, are u able to hear the sound loud enough, and if u can, is there something u click to make the volume louder when watching a video?

Yes - I can hear the sound perfectly with no problems at all.

OK - check this just to be sure...

'Settings', 'iPod', 'Volume Limit'->'Off'

Remember, too, that the iPad has independent volume controls for headphones and the internal speaker. So, you may have set the volume to, say, max on headphones and assume, when you remove the headphone jack, it will be max volume on the speaker too. No - the volume is independent and you'll have to adjust it again..

Let us know if this helps - if not, we'll try some other things.

Okay, now I'm having the issue of connecting...says password is incorrect (and I've checked the capital letter thinger). Was working fine last week, then I saw this thread and wanted to try it again. No go. Hmmmmm.....

Maybe you can start your own thread ~ this thread is about Flash and your topic is continuing for five posts now.

Im using splashtop nutjust one question is it just me or is it slower and laggier than the laptop? Like even when i open facebook or anything it takes along time and i can see on my laptop screen that its atleat 3-6 seconds ahead. The scrolling also lags, every1 gets this prob? I downloaded the free splashtop if im nt wrong, is the one with money better or differet or what exactly. I ddnt try anything to do with flash because its to laggy to even browse the net.
Does internet speed and computer speed matter?

It's the Internet speed, because Splashtop has to refresh the view of the PC screen by copying it frequently to your iPad. But, please, before Marie blows her top :D ...., start a new thread if you want to discuss Splashtop issues....

One last thing which is required fast internet on the ipad or laptop for un laggy results?

On both - it's transferring data (screen images and sound) from your PC to your iPad - so it needs a good connection at both ends. My ADSL link is about 2 Mbps and that seems OK for general use. If you want to watch movies etc on your PC or Flash (phew, back on topic, Marie!!) then you might need 5 or 6 Mbps.

The problem, on ADSL, is that it's an asymmetric link, with the upload speed at the PC end typically much slower than the download speed at the iPad end. (the 'A' in ADSL stands for asymmetric). Typically an ADSL link (cable broadband) has an upload speed of about 440 Kbps. If you're on optical fibre it will be much much more.

But, if you want to continue this discussion - please start a new thread....
