Developer Breaking Art has just updated its flickr hd iPad app, and also dropped the price to $1.99 for a limited time only, a 60% saving from the usual price of $4.99.The update introduces more intelligent image resizing and improvements to the random algorithm. Although the app uses the flickr API, it's not endorsed or certified by flickr, but many commentators and reviewers have said that it’s one of the best flickr apps around, with TUAW featuring it as the TUAW Daily App back in November 2010. By all accounts, it’s a great way to view your flickr photo stream, turning your iPad into a photoframe where you can display a new photo from your public flickr photostream, flickr.com favourites, or custom flickr search every minute, or even quicker than that, if you so choose. The app also has the Instaswitch feature, which means that your photos will change instantly without delay. The updated app is compatible with iPhone and iPod touch as well as the iPad, and has full support for the iPhone 4 and new iPod touch’s Retina display.
