What's new

Gardening!

Why it's beautiful Julie. I love my flowers. I concentrated all my flowers in the patio area last year as this is where I can pick up wi-fi and spend pleasant days in the sun. I hope to do so again when Spring arrives just around the corner. Any other flowers I may like?

Had a wonderful winter. My Helleborus Niger bloomed all winter long. Gotta love the joy one little plant can bring when you pass it on a very, very cold day and even better a whole winters worth of cold days. The hellebore that starts blooming in Feruary is no slouch either.

I have a hellebores niger. Such a wonderful display. I have a wonderful smell going past my witchhazel. Loads of snowdrops and I have a few daffodils as well. Looking forward to my tulips and bluebells!

I'm envious of all of your great gardening weather although we have had a very easy winter and we will probably have an earlier an usual spring. I'm probably the only one around enjoying global warming. Hope it doesn't bring on drought.

They are talking drought in the south east of England at the moment.

Sadly, yes. Last night's rain was so welcome.

It's the end of a very long hot summer here.
But we have had rain .
A few plants have not survived ,but generally all looking good.

It's in between 7° and 8°C this morning and will reach a nice sunny 10°C by lunch! I hope! Cloudy at the moment. Spring is on its way here

Same here. I forgot to check on my plants in greenhouse and dining room. I'm trying to save as many as I can so I don't have to buy new ones this year. It's a battle

I managed to weed the kitchen gravel yesterday, it just needs clearing up today if the weather stays clear today. I'm thinking of uncovering the patio furniture soon for those occasional sunny mornings/day. I've swept the path of mud/debris and washed it down with the hose. It's looking smarter already. It was a lovely sunny day yesterday. I sat on the bench soaking up the sun. Very pleasant. The daffodils are looking gorgeous. My magnolia has loads of buds waiting to burst forth with blossom. It used to have the Pampas grasses in front of it but it seems to thrive with it gone. Good decision. I've had the compost delivery and I'm waiting for the plants/seeds to arrive to start the veg growing season. Can't wait.

Spring? Has sprung? In our garden.

I plan to plant a big drift of miniature daffodils alongside the steps next year.
