How will you charge up your device etc...

I lost some lavenders to an unexpected frost sigh!

Thank goodness not too much damage. Bad luck with the fencing panels.

This is an instance where a solar charger would come in handy, so long as the light is strong enough :)

True. Or any renewable source of energy. We are too reliant on non-renewable energy. Loads more solar panels and wind turbines nowadays. I see the government are back pedalling on wind farms again.

Lol

Some farmers do. One of my science teachers uses oil from chip fat. Nice smell too. He's licensed. It took him ages to get that.

No cows in the neighborhood for methane. Is there a solar charger that could power my iPad and phone? That would be very useful to have on hand. If this is going to occur more frequently because of climate change I'll have to prepare.

Hayles why do you put your lavender in. Is sommerset that cold. I was zone 6b (-10),(global warming upped me to 7 (-5) ), and my lavender handles it nicely. Different varieties perhaps?

Hi Bennettb. Solar chargers for iPads are discussed on the Apple support site.

Also, google "solar charger for iPad reviews". A number of chargers are covered.

Yes, they are the French variety not the hardy variety. I need to get the hardier variety but I love the fluffy bunny ears of the less hardy varieties.

I thought I would share this tip......

We have a problem with foxes and squirrels digging out plants and bulbs from our pots and containers.

I prevent this vandalism by cutting to shape plastic mesh for climbing plants and placing it as shown. It works well.

Now I need to work out a tidy system to protect hanging baskets.

My December hellebore is blooming. It is lovely to see a flower blooming now.

That's pretty, Bennettb. Some relief to the winter bleakness. :)
