another curious question about screen protectors.... does anyone have any experience with the 'glass' screen protectors like Zagg offers or others? i have no experience with them (glass) and wondering if they are worth the money for my new air 2? or if a product like iLLumiShield is as good? (which i do have on my cell phone and love it)...tho i prefer the 'feel' of my ipad glass screen so that's why i'm asking...

I have the Zagg Glass on my iPhone and iPad and love it! I have used Zagg screen protectors for years, but the Glass is the best of the lot. VERY easy to put on and feels just like the naked screen. It is very easy to clean as well. I wont buy anything else again.

cool thanks for the info...sounds like it's just what i'm looking for!

We have "glass" protectors on both iPads and our mobile phone. I love them and there is no difference in feel or sensitivity

Well, just to be the 'Devil's Advocate' here since all posts have been 'positive' concerning the desire for a screen protector whether one is really needed or not? The 'gorilla glass' on current iPads is quite durable - for myself w/ two iPads in the family, we've had covers but have not used extra screen protectors, whether plastic or glass - my iPad 2 is nearly 4 years old and is doing fine.

This has been a frequent topic of discussion, including this forum - here is a THREAD from a year ago (and others exist); plus, simply googling this topic will bring up plenty of hits w/ both positive & negative comments as to the need for these protectors. Now, if I did not have 'covers' on my iPads then would probably consider one of these glass protectors, but just don't see the need otherwise.

This will continue to be a debated issue and there will be advocates or objectors to both points of view - so, simply wanted to raise the issue - Dave :)

:) thank you Dave..i appreciate the info and thread link. don't have a good enough handle on tapatalk! will check it out.

i don't use a cover which is why i was thinking about a protector of some sort...but i'm also in the camp that it might be overkill in one sense and at the same time won't necessarily 'protect' a dropped ipad from a broken screen... just discovered the glass type so was mostly curious of people's experiences with them. given the cost i went ahead and ordered the illumishield ($6!) for now and possibly think about 'glass' down the road...

I have several Zaggs ... Two iPads covered surround with ZAGG armor. And a Samsung note phablet with such. These are very good, but I am unsure whether worth the high expense, so I just put a 6$ Skinomi on my new Note IV and am happy. Overall having the armor seems to be good results ..
