Google calendar synch issue

I have my google calendar synch'd with my ipad as the directions say but my problem is that it seems to be only one way. Anything I put on my calendar on my PC at home shows up on my iPad calendar but not vice-versa. Nothing I put on my calendar on my iPad shows up on my PC.

Am I just out of luck if I want it both ways? I have googled this etc and found no answers out there.
