My iPad 4 with iOS 8 has suddenly stopped (a) re-scaling Google search results when I switch to landscape (i.e. It retains its portrait sizing) and (b) letting me resize the page. Normal behaviour returns when I select / open one of the search results. Any idea how I can fix those?

Cleaning Website Data and History in Settings > Safari has fixed this in the past.
No guarantees, but here is a thread where someone ran into a similar issue, and this fixed it.
