It’s not often that iPad owners get to try out a brand-new, high-profile iPad game for the same sale price as the iPhone version, but as Pocket Gamer reports today, Rockstar’s Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars is currently on sale for a limited time across all iOS platforms, including the HD iPad version, for a uniform £3.99/$6.99. As Pocket Gamer points out, not bad for the definitive version of a game that ‘s currently selling for three times as much on Sony PSP and Nintendo DS. I’ve really been enjoying playing this game as a huge fan of the console versions. It harkens back to the glory days of GTA I and II’s top down action, with the sort of gripping, uncompromising storyline you’d expect from the GTA universe. Rockstar aren’t saying how long the game will be available at the current low price, so don’t waste any time getting your hands on a copy of the best looking hand-held GTA game to date.
