Hi Folks,

On June 11, 2012: Apple announced the development of the iOS 6 update. With this update it would include features that would help assist the Special Needs Population. That benefit is the "Guided Access" which would lock an app and avoid the user to exit the program by pressing the home button. This is especially good for children that need help staying focused on an assignment. Besides children with Autism, the "Guided Access" would also benefit children/adults with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Learning Disabilities and/or cognitive impairments.

A Special Thanks to our Super Moderator, KevinJS who has created a "How-To" thread on how to turn on this feature for those interested: http://www.ipadforums.net/ios-6/90787-using-guided-access.html

I
n addition, please see this Apple link: Apple - iOS 6 - iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch get 200+ new features.

Best Wishes to everyone. :)

Hi anuna---thank you and welcome to the forum!

Just so you know we allow our app developer a 1- time allowance to post their app announcement. All communication regarding changes and updates shall be done within that that thread that you have created. Posting your app beyond that is not permitted.

Have a look at the forum rules for guidance. http://www.ipadforums.net/forum-rules-help-info/2119-forum-rules-everybody-please-read.html

Thank you.
