Had trouble hooking up the adapter

Has any one had trouble with the digital AV adapter? When I hooked it up I didn't get a picture at first. I had to really push the HDMI cord into the adapter to see the IPad. I hope I don't have to do this each time. Is something wrong with it?

If u had to do that, then it might be faulty. I'd return and exchange it for another one. The end piece might be kinda loose or have a short in it. No reason you should have to wiggle it or press it in hard, like an old phone charger..lol
