CBS Radio News and Harman today announced that they are teaming up to offer streaming audio versions of the network’s most popular news programming, as well as top podcasts, to people that are driving in their cars. With this new partnership, you’ll be able to listen to such shows as CBS Evening News, 60 Minutes, Face the Nation, World News Roundup, to name but a few. You’ll also be able to listen to the latest news via the 24/7 CBS Radio News stream, all via the Aha iOS app.[/FONT]
Also available on Harman are top CBS Radio News podcasts, such as What’s In the News, CBS News Weekend Roundup and Reporters Notebook.“Millions of CBS fans spend significant time every day in the car or commuting to work; Aha allows CBS News to be wherever they are, delivering high quality programming on any device, even in the car,†said Harvey Nagler, Vice President of CBS Radio News. “Smartphones have shattered content boundaries and forever shifted consumer expectations toward an “always on†lifestyle. With Aha, CBS is on the cutting edge to deliver some of the world’s most loved programming wherever our viewers go.â€
The Aha app works by connecting to a compatible in-vehicle entertainment system, whereby your favourite Aha stations become radio preset buttons, so that you can browse the stations in the same way that you would your regular car radio stations. When you leave the car, you can continue listening on your iPhone or iPad. Acura, Chrysler, Dodge, Ford, Honda, Jeep, Scion, Subaru and Porsche have all launched vehicles with Aha-compatible stereo systems this year, and Alpine, Kenwood and Pioneer all sell Aha-enabled aftermarket car stereos, with the Griffin iTrip Auto also being compatible.
