Heroes of Might & Magic III HD Announced for iPad

Ubisoft has today announced that it is bringing Heroes of Might & Magic III HD to the iPad on January 29 2015.

Developed by retro specialists DotEmu, the classic turn-based strategy game has been authentically upgraded, while still keeping faith with the roots of the original game. The iPad version features seven campaign scenarios, 48 skirmish maps, and a local multiplayer mode.

“Community is at the core of the Might & Magic series, and we wanted to thank their everlasting support by bringing back the epic tale of Queen Catherine Ironfist”, said Erwan le Breton, Might & Magic creative director. “We wanted to keep the heart of what made Heroes III one of the most renowned titles of the series while providing an enhanced visual experience and offering the possibility to also play the game on tablets”.

Nearly 15 years on since the Dreamcast version was released back in 2000, players will get to experience the Kingdom of Erathia in true HD beauty on iPad. Check out the above Hydra HD Lifting trailer to see just a snippet of how the HD process is transforming the game’s graphics.
