What's new

how often do you see another iPad owner?

I've seen about 12 in public mostly at conferences and airports. Only two in Switzerland where I live, though.

the only time I've seen other iPad owners was at the line up for the iPhone 4 on July 29 here in Canada... at that time I didn't have mine I just bought it a couple days ago... and I love it!! specially because of the 3G ...

My brother and I both have one and live about 30 miles apart. Other than his I've never seen a single other iPad. Not in eating establishments, coffee shops, no where. Nobody either of us knows even has one. Strange.

I see another one everyday, my boss has the same one as me......

other than that, I have not seen any, and when people have seen me with it, they look at me like I am a freak or something...

I seen one at the car dealership service dept. waiting room. Don't know which
case (black) she had but loved it.

I was on a long international flight last month and I saw at least 10 people using iPads on the plane. Those were just the people I could see so I am guessing there were more than that. I also saw numerous people in the airports using them.

When I attend a seminar with people from Universities or other traditional education people I see a lot of them. When I attend a seminar for private education folks I see one, mine. People from the public sector have adopted them due to public support in the acedmia infrastructure. Apple has always been big in public sector education. Not so much in business though.

I work in IT at a University, and I would guess I see 1 or 2 every week.

But hey folks, Not seeing many iPads, is not statistically surprising at all.
Test it for yourself, and try this....

Randomly choose a specific model of a specific brand of laptop.
Now see how many of that specific model of laptop you see in the next month.
And how many iPads.

Which number is higher?

.

I have seen lots and lots of them at the malls, coffee shops and airports> most were kept in the apple case and the owners were plus 40 or older.

In the same vein... I hardly take mine out more than once a month. If a majority of people do as I do I'll never see one.
And it's winter in my deep freeze, good enough reason to leave it in a warm place...indoors!
