Hello.
I am completely new in Apple world (it's my first Apple device iPad3).
I wanted to use some apps I am using on my PC or android based devices. E.g. I wanted to install xmarks for
Safari browser to be in sync with all my bookmarks on other computers. Download page states that xmarks
Is supported for safari as well but I've got an error that safari failed to download the file. Then I installed
Opera mini browser and tried the same but exactly the same error.
Could someone pls explain me how to workaround this issue? Could I download app (e.g. XmRks for safari) that I am interested in on
Another device e.g. PC or Kindle and then transfer it to iPad?
Thanks in advance

Unfortunately, the only place to download applications is via the App Store, whether in iTunes or on the iPad itself. It's the only way, per Apple.

Your best bet is to search the App Store and see if a developer has created an app for what you want. Or, maybe find something similar to what you're currently using.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but, there you go...

I realized that I used wrong account name and I can't change for a new one since I use the same email address. I realized that I have to send private message to someone with a new name.
Could you pls tell me how to send private message and who should I send it?
Thanks again

At the bottom of this page, if you are using a web browser, is a hot link titled "Contact Us." click on it and up will come in a message box where you can type in your request and then send it to the forum admin.

Huh. I just realized I don't know where that is if you are using an app, so here's the address for easier reference: Contact Us - Apple iPad Forum. You"ll still get the pop-up/template to fill out...

The forum admins are a pretty friendly bunch. I am sure they can/will help in changing your user name.
