How to sync contacts from iphone to ipad

I am new user of ipad2, I received yesterday.
Please advise how to sync the contact list from iphone to ipad. I am using ipad wifi 32 G. I am not using contact on MS exchange that is pure for office. I just want to sync my personal contacts from iphone.

Each of these threads has a different approach. I favor the Google one, since it will also solve problems down the road when you have yet another, possibly non-Apple device to sync. And it give you access to your contacts on any computer in case you should need them.
