Greeting dudes, I have an ipad Air to unloack or bypass icloud on it totally. any body with Tech-Know-How?
The ipad only at non useful stage since it has been locked to a particular iCloud account. Pls any help??

I’m afraid that unless you have the Apple ID and password for that iPad there’s no way to use it. Any so-called iCloud bypass tools you see on the internet are scams.
Apple will only help in cases like this if you are the original purchaser and can prove it to Apple.

Perhaps someone can help me unlock the iPad devices and activate them for reuse. If anyone knows of a software/app to reset the iPads to factory settings, I would be very grateful. However, the software would have to be compatible with 8th and 9th generation iPads and iOS 17. I legally purchased the iPads used from a lost property manager. Unfortunately, the devices are locked with an iCloud lock from the previous owners, and the owner(s) is/are unknown.

I’m afraid that there is no way to get past iCloud activation lock without the Apple ID and password of the previous owner. Every site that says they can bypass activation lock is a scam. Positive reviews of these sites are fake.
I hope you didn’t pay too much for those iPads. You may be able to sell them for parts.
BTW, I deleted your other post on this same topic as we do not allow multiple posts on the same topic. Please confine any further posts on this topic to this thread.

Hey Scifan - now, I'm aware of the need to remove your appleid (Apple Account now, I believe) when disposing of an Apple device (I've done the process a dozen times selling my various machines) - however, this Apple Support Article implies that by cabling to a computer and placing the device into recovery mode that it can be 'restored' and set up as a new one - the article was updated in October 2024 - does this really work? I have no opinion having never needed to perform this restoration. Dave

Hi Dave, You can’t restore an IPad by connecting it to a computer unless you have the the Apple credentials used to set the device up in the first place.

Thanks Jupiter - thought that the directions in that link were too good to be true, e.g. one could steal an iPad and then set it up as 'new' - however, the article seems to state that any computer could be used - guess that the credentials for the device would be stored on the Apple servers and play a role in the restoration? Dave
