MacRumors has spotted that the Hulu Plus app for iPad and other iOS devices has just had an update which brings several new enhancements, namely a new split-screen player on the iPad, enhanced queue and subscription management, improved playback performance, a new thumbnail viewer on the iPad, and various bug fixes.
In order to make use of the Hulu Plus app you’ll have to have a Hulu subscription of course, and in relation to that, Hulu has just issued a press release today announcing that it’s now officially launching its Hulu Plus premium service, which was up until now in preview mode, and that it will be lowering the price of the subscription to $7.99 per month from $9.99. The press release states that anyone who signed up during the preview period will receive a credit for the difference. Also, from now onwards, all new subscribers to Hulu Plus will get one week’s free trial.
