Thanks, Douglas. Do you have equations in your book? If so, could you show me a page with several?
 
No I don't have any equations in either book. However, I am putting together another chapter for the stage lighting graphics text that has equations like the Pythagorean and the inverse square law. I thought, since I only have a few that I would create them in Word and just export them as graphics into InDesign.

Here is a good article on the difficulties of equation editing going from Word to InDesign or other publishing software.

After reading some oh this I'm concerned that any work having lots of equations, both inline and not, is going to be a major headache. I'll have to do one small warm up projects before getting to far in.
