New--iPad ADHD friendly

Finally signed up and kind of settling in. Glad to be here

Its hard to believe that I can fall in love with gadgets, but I have and the iPhone was my first love. Since I have ADHD, it appears that the iPhone and now iPad are ADHD friendly.


I decided to get an iPad because I lost my 4th iPhone (or was 5?), there is no insurance and even if I get another through a provider I have to start the contract all over and the 100 plus dollars a month wasn't worth it. I now have one of those prepaid phones and its driving me nuts. I may have to get a cracked or unlocked iPhone and just use it as a phone. Its the only phone that makes sense to my brain.

I decided to get the first generation iPad as the screen is bigger and easier to type on.

Currently I am looking for a functional Note or Word pad or even a "docx" app as there are so many to choose from and hoping to get some good leads on here

Hi Ed Guess educatedguess@rattlebrain.com here. My wife's ex-husband, now a friend of mine, it can happen, just suffered a very debilitating stroke. How can the iPad fit into his recovery? He has the use of his voice and limited use of one arm/hand. Voice control commands? AirPlay? Apps? I'm not new to the iPad but have never explored the uses mentioned. Info will be appreciated as it looks as though I will become his care-giver. Weird huh?

Whats going on everyone, just ordered my Ipad2 from Verizon. Used to have a Iphone 3GS but its screen is just too small to enjoy the entertainment. Went with Verizon this time to avoid ATT's not great service in my area.
