What's new

If you are new, please post an introduction thread.

Hi from the hottest state in the country for 2011 - Oklahoma! (relief blowing in today -- 102 high yesterday, only 86 today, and tomorrow's high... wait for it....will be 58 degrees).

Just retired 4 months ago and will finally get to editing those (thousands?) of neglected photos, hopefully on my iPad -- so MUCH easier on the neck not having to peer up at a monitor with these dastardly bifocals. Will be asking questions about photo editing apps, for sure, and looks like there are heaps of knowledgeable and HELPFUL members here.

Hi there and welcome to the Forum. There are lots of friendly and knowledgeable members here only too willing to help you. Do some searches on the photo apps, there are quite a few, then you'll be able to choose the right one for yourself. I totally understand your feelings on bifocals, mine have 3 lenses, took a bit to get used to them. I'm glad you're weather is getting cooler for you but boy what a change. Here in Brisbane, Australia, it's spring right now and such a glorious day. Enjoy!!

Thanks! Small world; I've got a sister-in-law in Yeppoon, just north of Rocky. In fact we'll be in Oz and NZ for six weeks starting Nov (Sydney, Perth, then east by train to Adelaide, Melbourne) and really hoping to see those wildflowers I've been reading about. Love visiting Australia!

Gosh, it is a small world. I've been to Yeppoon a couple of times, there's a nice resort up there. We are going to New York and Vegas next month. New Zealand is a truly beautiful country too. I'm sure you'll have a wonderful time here and good luck finding your wildflowers.

Hi, Welcome to the Forum. Yes this Forum will help you a lot, just do some searches for any queries you have. There's a lot of information here, but if you don't find the answer to your questions, then by all means post, there's many friendly people here only too willing to help you.
There is an App for this Forum 'Discussion Forum for IPad Users' it is very simple and easy to follow.
There's also a very useful thread Tips and Tricks - for those of us who don't know. You will learn many things from this thread alone to get you started. Also get a copy of the Manuals, there's lots of useful info in them too. Enjoy!!

Hi everyone! I don't actually have my own personal iPad, but I'm knowledgeable about using iPads in the school setting. I hope to share that knowledge and learn a bunch more.

Good to hear from you. We look forward to learning from your experience. We have a special section for educational applications of the iPad.

ipad2 stuck in email how to get going again?

Reboot...

Hold down the Power and Home button for about six to nine seconds until the white Apple logo appears (turn the iPad off first, if possible). The iPad will reboot and all will be fine...nothing is lost, no apps, no emails, no files...

Let us know how it goes...

Tim

Hello I'm new here. Haven't found my way round yet, but would like some pointers on using a stylus for handwritten notes. What stylus pens have you found to be good and what apps are best? I have noteshelf but was disappointed that I can't paste text from other apps. And don't have the option for typewritten text. Otherwise loved the way it's organised so I have a library if all my books just like iBooks.
