Fishing anyone? Huge Northern Pike. Put up a good fight.

Very bony fish, but not so bad if you know how to fillet it right. Makes good fish stew when de-boned.

Alaskan Seiner getting ready to go fishing. They have a small skiff on deck laying on top of the nets or they tow it.

The fishermen let the net out in a straight line where the school of fish is. The men in the skiff hooks the end of the net to the skiff and make a circle with the net. They pull the purse line closed on the bottom of the net to make it into a bag. Then the fishermen on the boat run the net through the power block on the boom and start reeling it in.

I finally got the forum to accept my uploads, by reducing the resolution to 800. Sorry about the loss of detail.

Nice shots! Must have been an interesting place to visit.

Very Beautiful.

I see you did some time travel to get this image. ;) LOL :D

The museum was very special. One of the exhibits is the Apollo 8 command module, which spent Christmas eve, 1968 in lunar orbit. Another exhibit is a Type IX German U Boat.

Would love to see some pictures of both of those exhibits. They sound VERY INTERESTING. Please post some. It's wonderful to be able to visit these places through your lens. :)

This thread can open a vast, wonderful world for us to see through each-others images.
