Here are the cottony seed clusters on a local poplar tree.

That's quite a lot! With a few more of these trees, the air should be filled with the fluffy seed.

So you had a spinal cord injury from a spine fracture, Squib? So sorry to hear that, but happy to see that you find this Forum a daily "go to" for enjoyment! :)

Here are some more pictures from the Mill Creek trail.

I took these several days ago, but was near my data limit for the month, so held off posting them. I've been relying on my cellular data since the move. I hadn't realized how fast 4GB could disappear till now. I'm only three days into this month's cycle, and already used almost 1 GB.

I should have home internet service again sometime Monday. That will be good. I really miss my Hulu queue; though it's been good for my health. I've walked over 60 miles the last two weeks, mostly because there was nothing to do at home. ;)

How absolutely breath taking! Thanks for posting them. Wish I was walking there ( well anywhere - especially in nature!)

I am enjoying the walks, though I'm probably seeing nature better after the walk than during. A 300mm lens will do that. Hopefully you'll recover and be able to have a few walks yourself, even if they are more like rolls. Those electric get-around vehicles are everywhere theses days, and look to be kind of fun.

Yes, they both have a camera and iPad minis and some rather large memory cards for their cameras also, so I think they are very well prepared to that end. We've also set up shared albums within the photo app, so I get to see their photos also. (Apparently not all of them though ;))

Oh my Squib, a spinal cord injury and broken back, I feel for you and am so glad that you are enjoying the Forum also.

Thank you for such wonderful photos! ;)

Thanks for your kind words. Don't feel sorry for me, with this iPad I have access to the whole world! When I was about ten yrs old my mom would take us to her best friends cabin on the beach. There was a man on a stretcher with this huge iron lung( looked like a half barrel all rusted that went from his neck to his legs. All he could move was his baby finger on his right hand! Before he got polio he was a real prankster, was very active and had people laughing all the time. He made everyone around him happy and loving. I didn't know him then but heard tons of stories. Whenever I start to wish I could go for a walk I think about him and feel very blessed. And I feel exceptionally blessed to have this forum with so many friends who make me laugh, think wonder and feel like I am contributing to the world instead of useless. I love everyone's comments and look forward everyday to see what has been posted and what everyone is up to and interested in. So please when you think of me see me with a smile on my face and a Cerys happy heart thanks to this forum and iPad! My friends call me Sunny Side Up ! So you can believe I am telling you the truth. :)
Also, when I was very young I felt I better do everything I wanted by the time I was 30. I had such a strong feeling that I would either be dead or my life would be so altered that I wouldn't be able to choose anymore! Sure enough, by the time I was thirty my back was broken. After spending months in the hospital and a cast. After the first surgery I could walk again but was in excruciating pain. They operated again to try and remove the scar tissue that was wound tightly around my spinal cord and nerve roots. That worked for about 3-4 mo but then the scar tissue was back. I was in so much pain I was going to commit suicide. Then one of my friends sent me to a Dr who was willing to give me whatever meds I needed to tolerate the pain. Unfortunately soon after that I was in a terrible car crash( not my fault ).so I was one my back again with people coming to my house doing acupuncture and other alternative help. After that I was doing ok. I could walk forever but couldn't sit or stand. Then I was stopped at a red light and a car came at about forty miles an hour and smashed right into my vehicle! His car went under mine right up to his windshield - back in the hospital for me. Then I found out I had breast cancer,it was rampant in our family. So I went thru more surgeries. And here I am, the second person of 32 to have survived cancer! Anyone who gets cancer and survives it receives an amazing gift that can not be explained. All I can tell you about that is I feel the creator is always around me like a shawl and I can feel it close to me at all times! Now you know everything and also know how blessed I am!

I got all of these photos from the Fort Steele website.

This is a place called Fort Steele, in S-E, B.C., near the Kootenays. I thought you might like to see a little section of our province and enjoy our unique Canadian humor!

And our unique Canadian humor. Make sure you read the whole sign!

I read that sign squib and I think that is, as you are, a great example of the Canadian sense of humor. And it's good to hear that this forum helps to take your mind off more unpleasant things.
