Taken a few years ago on the side of the Paradise Pier parking garage in Disneyland. The Goofy silhouette is coming from a light behind the surfboard, so during the day you only see the board.
There is a short discussion about Mexican Huichal artwork in this tread. Check back to the 19th of April at 9.47 am.
We love this type of art. We have some small examples of this type of artwork. One piece is on canvas. Other small items are wool tree decorations.
We also fell In love with a huge tapestry which brings life and colour to wherever we place it in our home.
We purchased it after bartering in a floating market on the waterways of Xochimilco which is a district of Mexico City. The waterways in this district are the remnants of a canal system which was built at the beginnings of this city. Excuse my poor compression of the history of this fascinating vibrant region.
Here is my avatar in full screen for you squib. For some reason I am still getting the pop up about something not running correctly when I try to send the seed bead sculpting so tomorrow I'll photograph it again and post because it is really awesome.
No it isn't Huichol. Sorry, I didn't mean to be ambiguous.
Here in Greenwich there is a great shop which sells Artesian goods. The shop faces onto the covered market. There used to be 3 other similar shops, all of which went out of business a few years ago.
