From 13 years ago. My wife is Chinese, and we used to visit her family in Shanghai regularly. We also would to go to Hainan Island while there, and liked it so much, that we ended up buying a condo in Sanya, a city on the southern tip of the island. I miss those trips. We have not been there since before the Covid pandemic, and have no plans to go anytime soon. One of the places we liked to go while on the Island was the Nanshan Buddhist Temple. The grounds are beautiful, the meals are wonderful, and the Buddha statue humongous. I hope we get to visit there again one day.
