Hi Richard. It's right on and above waterline. I'll show you in a bit. :)

I'm glad you like her :). She's the only one of her kind in the world. Like I mentioned before, she was designed by the legendary L. Francis. Herreshoff. :)

We love her very much. <3<3<3. LOL. Couple of years ago we did a 2500 mile ocean voyage bringing her to this part of Alaska. It was the best trip of my life with real Orcas swimming near us and dolphins playing and swimming by our bow. <3<3<3. I was taking 600-700 pictures a day. May post some later if someone wants to see some of them.

Perhaps a thread describing your voyage would work?

I'm thinking something on the lines of the rambler's travelogue from North England.

I'm looking forward to more photos of Orca. :)

Nice idea Richard. Where can I see this rambler's travelogue from North England, to check it out?

Getting her loaded on the trailer.

Almost on. It amazes me how they can haul such a big yacht on such "small" trailer. The trailer is really long, but it has no real sides.

She's held in place with those little arms with pads. Eeek.

You notice, she's sitting right on top of the triple axels at the end of the trailer.

Going through the airport runway. Airport security vehicle escorting in front. (I mentioned earlier that because of her 45' main mast being so tall, she had to go through the airport. She wouldn't fit under power lines.)

So neat, thank you again for all the pictures and explanations. I am surprised, though, I always thought the keel was a swing type on sailboats until I saw this. I had to look it up to learn the different keel types, (full, fin, fin racing, bulb, wing and swing) and the advantages/disadvantages of each. It struck my as odd that the boat did not go down so far (and need to sit higher in the trailer) but now I see that if not in the pursuit of outright speed and razor sharp handling i.e. a ship like Orca, it is an advantage to have the strange looking (to me) full keel design. I think I can easily get used to the looks and 99%of her life she will carry that feature out of sight. What a beautiful (and practical) boat/ship you have.

Rats. I wanted to upload some photos, but the forum is cranky today.
