One thing people tend to forget about electric cars is that while there is no tailpipe spewing pollutants into the air, the electricity used to charge the batteries, in most cases, comes from the burning of fossil fuels or nuclear power plants, neither of which are Eco-friendly.

By the way, one version of the Telsa was named Car of the Year for their 280 MP(between charge) H version. Still a pretty penny.
