No, they can't. The schoolyard has walls and a fence. It's closed in summer.

One thing people tend to forget about electric cars is that while there is no tailpipe spewing pollutants into the air, the electricity used to charge the batteries, in most cases, comes from the burning of fossil fuels or nuclear power plants, neither of which are Eco-friendly.

And another thing(s) are/is the so called rare earth elements/minerals required. We do not mine them here, so we go elsewhere. The elsewhere dumps toxins into the water, they do not provide help to the workers and there is no insurance. REs are used in most green products like wind power generators and those little curly bulbs. A green car like the Tesla is very dirty at one point.

As an aside, China is building power plants at the rate of 3 GW per week, and this is not a good thing either.

Hydrogen is too hard to deal with. The laws of hydrogen physics killed it not the auto makers.

Today, I tossed my milk container into the plastics bin. I am learning to be green.
