Well, woke up Saturday morning with 2 inches of snow (cropped door cam below) - barely melted on Sunday - today I was able to get out of the cul-de-sac and go to the grocery store - tonight's dinner will be snow crab clusters, seaweed salad, sushi, and a bottle of New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc (of course, shared - ) Dave

P.S. At bottom, chart of yearly snowfall in our town last 10 years - now up to 2.2 inches for 2025 and a couple of months left for more (but hopefully NOT).

We’ve had snow and ice on the ground for three weeks. I guess we got a total of around 8 inches of sleet, snow, and freezing rain; with the intervening thaw/refreeze cycles, shady spots still have up to 3 inches of ice. When we were kids, wasn’t snow alleged to be fun?

It was so much fun that our parents had to call us in for supper.

It is rare but we occasionally get significant amounts of snow here in Raleigh, North Carolina. You can have it though. I grew up in upstate NY but I like the mild winters we usually have here much better. Our first Winter here in 2001, we had 18 inches of snow in February, and we were just fresh from upstate NY....going WTH!😯
