iMessage and Facetime

iMessage cannot send out my message and also receive message, i did connect my ipad3 to the internet by using wifi and i already check my connection, everything works well. But why iMessage cannot send out?
issue( 2)
facetime , i cannot receive any calls although my friends is calling me and they actually scolding me for did not answer their calls. When i call my friends by using facetime, they actually cannot received my call as well. what is going on? TT

IMessage only works between iPhone iPad or iPod devices and both parties should have enabled wifi.

you can actually use imessage on 3g without a wifi connection.

Have you had a reply to this query as I have the same problem although I have managed to send a MSG to my daughter who has an iPhone - I cannot seem to send a MSG to my sister who doesn't have an iPhone ...

You can only imessage between iphones,it will be sent as an sms to non iphones.

I have the same problem...although I can use 3G at my house (can't get 4G where I am)....and can talk to my husband on his iPhone with my iPad3, but no one else, even my son, who has an iPad3. Won't go thru.

Correction -- was able to do Facetime with my son, but only via wifi.

FaceTime only works over wifi.

Hey guys! i found one solution, but is for connection that connected to the Wifi. which is, change your DNS to google DNS which 8.8.8.8 .i try this, and it actually works!
