import photos problem

whenever i try to import photos onto my ipad it gets to the "importing photos" step 3/3 and stays there forever. the bar is moving but im not sure if its importing the photos or not? this didnt happen when i imported onto ipod touch, it showed the numbers and stuff. also the photos are on a usb flash drive, not sure if that is the problem though cause it wasnt with the ipod

As long as the bar is progressing, it is working.

Nickso recently noted that unpluggin other USB ports may speed thigns up. This would depend on your computer and what you have plugged in, of course, but might be worth a try. http://www.ipadforums.net/ipad-general-discussions/33804-itunes-syncing-usb-tips.html
