Hi everyone. My first Mac was a 1985 beauty I kept till it caught fire. I switched to the other brand for many years but after supporting two machines at home and battling one at work I decided a change could work. My daughter entered junior year high school and I knew I needed to buy her a laptop I could support alongside her for a year and then she could take it to college. That was my first MacBook pro. Now my wife and I also have MacBook pro's. We love that apple just works. The family also has an iphone4, iPod, and ipad2. For me the iPad is Internet at your fingertips on a big screen (compared to a phone). I chose to forego a smartphone so I wasn't paying for two data plans just for myself.

There is lots of good advice and info on here plus plenty of members all too willing to help with any problems.

Remember, search is your friend.
