Following on from the recent release of iOS 4.3.1, speculation is already rife about when iOS 5 might be coming along. Well according to a report on TechCrunch, don’t expect to be seeing the next big iOS update any time soon, certainly not before the Fall. However, it will be worth the wait, as it will be a major revamp. TechCrunch says that it has heard from two separate “solid†sources that although iOS 5 may well be previewed at Apple’s forthcoming Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) at the Moscone West convention center from June 6-10, it will not be released until much later. They have also heard that it will introduce many new cloud-based services, and may well coincide with the launch of a third version of the iPad. Some of the rumoured cloud services to be incorporated in iOS 5 include a “music locker†service, and a location service similar to Latitude. According to TechCrunch, many of these new services will be unveiled for the first time at WWDC.
