Ipad 2 JB.. Working/non working cydia apps

We appear to have parallel threads right now (ifile not reading USB and basic loss of USB support on JB iPad 2) should someone close the other (my) thread and we follow it here?

Guys does terminal now work so I can change the root password?

I only ask as there were reports of it not working on the beta jailbreak.

Terminal doesn't work (and hasn't apparently since a couple of firmwares ago) however, you can install openssh and remote in from your computer to change the password.

Or install pterm or from the AppStore and then you can do it on the iPad itself!

The old version doesn't but there has been a beta around for ages that works on 4.3.3 I would post the repo but I don't know if its allowed?

If you're going app store I would recommend 'prompt' - really is a very clean little tool.

I cant confirm the cydia version of mobile terminal for 4.x works. Just changed my root password.

Im afraid it does, and while I can't condone that mobile terminal is free. If anyone does need it I can post the deb though.

No, he confirmed that he has a repo where you can get the beta for the free application mobile terminal, but unfortunately it also hosts pirate apps. I *could* search for pirate pc games on google, but that doesn't make me a pirate just because I use google.....

No, he confirmed that he has a repo where you can get the beta for the free application mobile terminal, but unfortunately it also hosts pirate apps. I *could* search for pirate pc games on google, but that doesn't make me a pirate just because I use google.....

Absolutely not, but I don't know any other repo where you can grab this freeware app.

You don't have to install cracked apps just because you can.
