9to5 Mac reports today that just a few days after the iPad 2 went on sale in South Korea, two of the country’s top telecoms companies, SK Telecom and KT Corp, have stopped online iPad 2 sales due to supply issues, with SK Telecom posting the following message on its website:

“Our iPad 2 inventory has been depleted and we apologize for failing to provide enough supplies due to the product’s global supply shortages.â€

Furthermore, 9to5 Mac reveals that the online Apple Store in Singapore has also ceased shipments of all iPad 2s. As 9to5 Mac says, it’s hard to tell at this stage whether or not this is an indication that Apple has more serious supply issues with the iPad 2 than first thought. It could simply mean that South Korea and Singapore are not such a high priority on Apple’s supply chain, so they get less stock. One to keep an eye on though.
