iPad 2 Users In The UK

I just downloaded the chanel 4 app 5 min ago and tried it, not as slick as the bbc iplayer but still decent. I need to have a better look later, which is dificult with this forum and trade nations taking so much oy time :)

Ipad2 is cool, the reason i recognise the make of your car is because my dad drives a 53 plate e320 with the same dash and rev counter :) my dads particular car did have some relibility problems, few electric like the remote central locking from key packed up, leaving him stranded. The aircon compressor needed to be replaced and water leak during gale force wind on the m25. Hope your particular car is better

You already know how to edit posts. However, you are not always allowed to edit posts, for example in the News section can no one edit their post, apart from moderators, but in all other areas of this forum should you be able to edit your own posts.

I see, this is why i was getting baffled, i did a mistake in the maura,s chanel 4 app topic, i tried to edit it but ended up quoting my self. Since then i have been trying to figure out why i cannot edit and how i quoted my self. Now i know, thanks for the info

Never had any problems with the car. Just haven't fallen in love with it. Love my Jag before it.

Can anyone tell me how to get the BBC iplayer app to work, the website is great but I have not yet managed to successfully watch anything with the app yet....if freezes sting try later. I have tried deleting and reinstalling to no avail. I think the BBC needs to improve the app. What say you my forum of experts ????

The iplayer works, sort off.

Pausing in longer shows causes a bug, preventing further playback. Is this the case for you, or does it not play at all?

What I end up doing is to just remember the time it currently has played, restart the app, than scroll back to where it stopped.

To restart the app, press the home button twice, then press on the iplayer app until it starts wiggling, finally press on the red circle to close it.

BBC app needs a reasonable connection, which will depend on time of day and contention ratio.
I initially had that freezing before I upgraded from a basic package to a business one.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.

That's not it, it works fine from the website, it's only the app that fails to load. I too have the same problem with the iplayer app.

I have not had any freezes at all with iPlayer so I can only assume it is your connection, it wouldn't be the first time that an iPad and a router haven't got on as has been witnessed in a number of threads on these forums before. If this is your problem it will probably just need a setting change on your router and like almost everything else here.......that's way beyond my level of expertise!
