I am finishing watching Bullitt on blu ray, the ford mustang and dodge charger chase is my all time favourite. Right now watching steve mcqueen chasing ross on the airport runway, infact he almost got run over by a boeing 707 :D

Sent from my iPad using iPF, using iOS 4.3.2

I also enjoyed watching him in Giant. I love car chases, one of my favourites was the Man With The Golden Gun where James bond somersaulted that car( can't remember what make of car, ask Gab) over the river and the police car couldn't do it. Amazing how the stunt men achieved it.

Are you thinking of The Dukes Of Hazard?

No, definitely not, hubby loves James bond, so it's not something I would make a mistake on as he is always watching it. I liked Dukes Of Hazard as well although you guys probably liked Daisy Duke the most. But if we are talking car chases, Starsky and Hutch, The Professionals etc... Takes me back to my youth!

Yes, I loved those two, John Thaw and Dennis Waterman. I saw Dennis Waterman in My Fair Lady, as Eliza Dolittle's dad, he was brilliant! If you could see The Sweeney in Afrikaans in South Africa, it was hilarious. They called it the Blitz patrolie. In my day, we had tv from 6pm to 10 or 11pm and half was in English and half in Afrikaans. We couldn't get many English programs but loads of American even with apartheid. That's why I feel more American sometimes because my tv diet was American. This is my fifth visit to this country and the longest! 1987 to present day. Wow, I've lived here longer. Must be British now.

But if we are talking about car chases.....surely the Italian Job has to be the one, the only, classic car chase.....and I'm talking about the original!

Yes, you are right, hubby and I loved the ORIGINAL with dear old Michael Caine, brilliant actor too. I see you were up early! Aren't you tired or is your back giving you jip. Hubby played rounders on wedding day and his knee is playing up again( he gets arthritis - it started in his 30's). He hasn't had that for years.

I'm normally up early, I just wish I could lay in occasionally!

I do love that film, one of my all time favourites.

Welcome - you've got to watch these UK iPad Forum members, they take a lot of moderating...:D

What! I thought you loved us Tim! I'm hurt! Welcome to our UK section! We welcome all to our little community especially with the unique blend of British humour we are all so fond of. I thought I loved the Scottish but I'm not so sure now! I'm sure Leigh still loves us in Troon.

I just thought of some of my past favourite comedians, Benny Hill, classic chasing of females at the end of each sketch and his classic Fastest Milkman in the West! Lenny Everett, I loved his humour. Tommy Cooper and his fez. Spike Milligan. Oh, I could go on...

Tommy Cooper was the best. Such a shame how he died.

My favourite comedians at the moment are a couple of Americans though, Rich Hall and Reg D Hunter. So dry, so funny.
