Ipad 3 and iMessage

I am using the iPad 3 and I am trying to send a text to my daughter who is using a new iPhone with ios5. I was sending texts to her with no problem, but today when I try to send a text, I get a message saying her phone number is not registered. That's very strange as I have been texting her all along.... Anyone have any ideas?

Hi, this happened to me too and drove me crazy for awhile !
I finally went to the Contacts icon, tapped it, deleted the
Contact, then re-entered all the info for the contact over
again as a new contact. This seemed to work.
Maybe the contact became corrupt. I don't really know.
