Hello Everyone,

My name is Greg and I am an iPad virgin. I just bought an iPad 3 and a printer that was told would work (On the Apple website) with it. I have an Epson XP-400. When I initially set it up and test printed it worked fine. Now it doesn't see the printer. I have restarted the printer using the power button as well as unplugging it from the wall. Still nothing. The two items are on the same network (verified).

I really don't know where to go from here.

After you reset the printer, did you also reset or start the iPad? To do (apologies if you know):

Restart: Hold down the power button until the power off slider appears. Slide it off. When the iPad finishes shutting down, hold down the power button again until the Apple logo appears.

If that doesn't help, try this last step...

Reset: Hold both the power and home buttons until the screen goes dark and the Apple logo then appears (the slide to unlock screen may or may not appear). Once the logo appears, release the buttons. After a time, your homescreen will appear. Please note that it may take some time for the Apple logo to appear or for your homescreen to appear (or both). This is normal. Eventually, the homescreen will appear.

Hopefully, that might make your iPad and printer start seeing each other again. Let us know how you get on.

Ok Marilyn, I tried both methods. The first one worked for a bit then it stopped recognizing again. I printed a "check network connection" page from the printer. While it was a "pass" on all items there was a note that stated "A router/access point channel conflict has been detected. If you have problems printing or scanning , improve your wireless network environment.

Try restarting the router then restart the printer. Also, check with your router's support site and see if there any firmware updates for it.

I've restarted the router than the printer and still nothing. I've looked up how to check for updated on the firmware of the router (wrt110 linksys) and I could use some help with that. If you or someone else may know the best way. Thanks!
