Hello, folks!

Have an iPad 3 here. Tonight it stopped connecting to Wifi -- despite detecting the network and saying it is connected. Unable to surf the web in any browser.

However, the alarming thing is that no matter what I do, whether I'm in the Network settings or trying to open Chrome -- this pop-up keeps appearing, full-screen, mimicking the Apple website. It's the iPad mini ad with the subtitle: Every inch an iPad. The hand holding the iPad Mini and two videos with Jony Ive and the stupid piano playing.

It looks just like the Apple website with menus at the top (some of them even seem to work). But as I have no internet connectivity, this whole thing leads me to suspect this is some new kind of virus.

Google searching is yielding zero-zilch-nada. This is driving me nuts. Help!

As Sonsta said, there is no way to get a virus on a non-jail broken iPad. Would you care to upload screenshots of the issue?

Or is your device jailbroken?

Have you tried resetting your network settings? Go to Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings.

Resetting the network settings did not do it.

Oddly, changing auto-join to on, while changing auto-login to off seems to get me online. I'll probably backup to iCloud and do a factory restore.
