iPad 4 not charging

Hi guys,

Need help. I was moving houses and didn't get time to charge my iPad for over two weeks and now it refuses to charge. It just switches between the apple logo and the drained battery bar. It doesn't even say that it's not charging. Is there a way out?

Connect it to a wall socket and leave it there for a few hours. Then see if it was charging.

Slightly off track,when I charge my iPad 1end of the cable gets so hot after 45mins that it cannot be touched,any ideas

There’s likely a short in the cable. Have you tried another cable to see if the overheating persists?
