Four months ago, Staples kicked off online sales of Apple’s iPad tablets and now the retailer is offering the latest iPad tablets through its website, as well. Cnet’s Lance Whitney was the first one to spot the change:
Calling your local Staples outlet now greets you with a recorded message telling you that you can buy a new iPad either online or in stores. Previously, the devices were available through Staples just online.
Staples is only offering the iPad Air starting at $499 and the Retina iPad Mini starting at $399. If you are a Staples customer you can also choose trade in your older iPad and earn as much as $300. Also, there’s the option to earn 5 percent back in rewards credits. Older iPad version are still available for an online purchase. With this move, Staples is expanding its partnership with Apple, which began in the spring of 2013 when the retailer started selling Apple products like the Apple TV and the AirPort wireless networking lineup.
