Telltale Games has today announced the gaming platforms that will be getting its much anticipated Back to the Future: The Game. Interestingly enough, as well as the to-be-expected PC, Mac and PlayStation 3 platforms, the iPad is named as the fourth platform getting the game, which would indicate that companies such as Telltale now consider the iPad to be a major gaming platform on a par with the PC and the PlayStation 3, and of course Telltale has already had amazing success recently with episodic versions of Sam & Max, Monkey Island and Wallace & Gromit for iOS devices.
Picking up shortly after the events of the third Back to the Future film, the game sees Marty and Doc embarking on a brand-new cinematic time travel adventure. The story is set to unfold across five exciting episodes, with a new instalment released each month. Telltale is creating the game in collaboration with Universal Partnership & Licensing and film series co-creator/co-writer Bob Gale. The games will release soon after the Blu-ray debut and DVD release of the Back to the Future 25th Anniversary Trilogy on October 26 2010, which feature all-new restorations of the classic films.
