Thank you, I try to find the weird and wonderful gadgets. I'm very tempted to order the AR drone 2.0 this week. Does anybody know somewhere in Lincolnshire, Uk where I can go to view one of these first? I'm not having much luck on google and I've been reading a few horror stories with LiPo batteries, it's starting to put me off with just a measly 8-12min flight time. If anyone has used another battery for your AR drone and can give any advice on which one to buy and where from would be a massive help. Thanks.

One to keep an eye out for when released solarwerks new solarpad, it's a case with built in solar panels and speakers :)

Another eBay find which could prove useful. This Bluetooth enabled box can transmit your audio to pretty much any stereo with an aux in port.

Just found this gadget to assist with healthy living.
Wifi weighing scales which connect to your iPad through its own wi fi hotspot so you can monitor your weight, BMI etc all on your device. You can post your results on Facebook (haha yeah let me!) or sync with google health. Still at around £120 this could be a very useful gadget for many families and a vital gadget for promoting healthy living. Still whatever helps keep you busy from going into the biscuit tin has to be a good thing :)

Product blurb
Ultra sleek, this tempered-glass and aluminium gizmo automatically records your weight, fat mass and BMI (body mass index) every time you step on it. But here’s the clever bit: it beams the info to your computer or iPhone over your WiFi connection, so you can track your results wherever you may roam via a password protected website or free iPhone app. You can even sync with Google Health and share your progress (or lack of) via email, Twitter or Facebook. Weigh-hay!

Photos and product blurb from firebox.com.

Not sure if its a good gadget.. It sounds cool but If it were me,
I would be afraid to share how much I weigh.. hahah.. :D

I know, I just admire the technology, sick of Facebook really and peoples obsession to share. now I here it's going to be integrated more on the iPad in iOS 6...... Great.......
:(
What if one day everything became Facebook integrated, like people will know how much milk you have in your coffee or what colour your pee is when you go to the loo, there has to be some limit to this I hope?

Hello everyone, I have neglected this thread for a while, sorry. Apparently I'm not spending enough time with the girlfriend.
So I thought I would throw a quick post in.

I've been looking recently on iPad bags (I know but its not a man bag!) :)
It's a difficult area for a man. What do you keep all your gadgets in, protect your iPad and look cool enough so it doesn't look like your walking around with a lady's purse.
I've tried to find a few but some prices are ridiculous. I've seen bags on the net for over £500 which is great if your David Beckham but I'm not. So I've tried to find a few cool bags that should ease the eyes. If you have any input on this, I would be interested as they are more difficult than I thought to find one and I have not done so yet.

First up
The Gramercy messenger sling is the latest bag from Cocoon Innovations. This one is no ordinary bag for it is made especially for the iPad. I like the fact that it has a part to hold your gadgets and a clear front for your phone/iPod. Around $29.99 Pictures from tech fever .com

Second
Vangoddy 10-Inch Message Bag
The silver is a bit garish but you can get black/ brown insides instead of blue. Still not quite what I'm looking for. £16.99 pictures from amazon.com

Third
CENTRIX 'TRIANGLE' CITY BAG MONOSTRAP RUCKSACK - 11 GREAT COLOURS ok this one is not especially for the iPad but it's £5.99 on amazon.co.uk
This is more the style I like with a single strap. It came up in the search for iPad sling bags and seems like it would fit. Close but again not close enough to what I want. Pics from amazon.co.uk

Fourth
Kensington sling bag. Nice style, nice price. Simple and effective. pics from AppStorm.net

Fifth
This bag, known simply as the Solar Panel Bag was designed by Seo Eul Hwa and sports a solar panel on it, to charge up your iPad. So be it a cycling trip, a walk home from work, or just a bit of exposure to the sun, and Poof! Your iPad ends up charged! -- ok now I probably won't be going anywhere outside with this on my back but it looks a nice gadget still :) pics from greenlaunches.com

Keep a look out for me if you find anything suitable please

I have ordered a few things from eBay I may do a review on, if they ever turn up that is its been a month so any day now fingers crossed.
I have bought a cheap camera connection kit and a hdmi adapter and awaiting delivery.
Also I have collected enough points to claim a prize from amazon on a particular website (PM if you want to know where from but I'm not giving out links) and ordered this for FREE (see pic) it's been confirmed and delivery is again from Asia so expect 2-6 weeks but il do a review when it arrives.

Neewer Mini 10 X Optical Zoom Lens Camera Telescope With Specialized Stand For iPad 2 (pics from amazon.co.uk)
Clips onto the back of the iPad with a telescopic lens to zoom the pictures even closer and hopefully increase the quality of the pictures. Can also be used to look through it with your eye like a monocular :)

Reviews coming soon as the postman pulls his finger out and delivers them. :)

Looks good mate, I like the extended home button on it and how it's fitted. Can you clone cards on it? Let's hope people don't mis use the product. This would be great if you can integrate it with an app so you can store your loyalty cards on.

I have found a few online, but the big price tag is probably the biggest hindrance to why the gadgets are not so widely used on these iPads. It's more focused on cases and stands when it has the potential to be do much more. Nice gadget though thank you for your contribution to the thread.

Just a quick review. Remember the iPad stylus I mentioned in the first page of gadgets. I bought three of these on eBay for 99p.
I have to say I'm impressed. For such a cheap item they work really well. They are only small which I was a little disappointed about but after a day of using it was not an issue. I don't use it for writing so I've not really tested it that far but I have used it to draw pictures and to be fair it works well with the right drawing apps. Aslong as you can zoom and change the line size they work really well. There comfortable to hold in the hand. It's also great just to use instead of your fingers all the time, but it does leave small round smudges on the screen like fingerprints they just wipe off. These were on eBay for 99p each and the same seller was selling three for 99p. There random colours, I got a black, silver and a shiny pink one and delivery was quick.
Overall a good buy in my opinion.

Here's another review guys and girls. Im sure I mentioned before I had won this on a popular prize website for free. So here's the tech review for it
Now the pictures have never been great on the ipad2 but with this 10x zoom it can certainly make a difference. Up close pics are suddenly magnified by 10x so the picture quality does increase. The longer distance shots are clearly magnified, it does have an adjustable lens so I may be able to make it a clearer picture with more test.
The lens comes with a quarter size rear case which fixes the lens in position on the back in front of the camera and this does fit well although it feels a little flimsy I've had no problems so far. The only issue is I have to take off my case every time I want to use it, but it's not a big issue I guess. When attached it does kind of make a difference to weight but not much (you can tell its there) and this is leaning to one side so care should be taken not to let the iPad slip from your hands. All round though as you can see from my test pics the zoom is impressive. Cost £14.55 from amazon, actually cost me nothing :) so I like it even more :)

Pretty cool. i have seen tripod mount that comes with similar lens mounting capability and you can mount any compatible lens to it. Don't recall what it was called, but, if you Google "iPad tripod mounts" you can find it.

Hi everyone just another update I am claiming another free prize on the same website. My next free item is the 5 in 1 camera connection kit and a handy stylus to add to my collection. Il give a review when they arrive but it should not be long. I have ordered this before off eBay along with an hdmi adapter cable, it's been 51 days so far and they are still adamant its going to arrive, I'm trying to get a refund now. So will get some more bits for a review soon.
