Ipad/Iphone radio

Would I be able to connect my Ipad/Iphone to a portable AM/FM radio via usb and stream music from my Itunes ?

Not as far as I know, sorry, unless this is a feature specifically built into your radio. If the specs say you can, go for it, otherwise, you won't get a thing.

Gotcha..Im wondering if I could use the headphone jack and get a cable with 2 male ends instead of the usb

That would work, I used to plug my iPod Touch into an old set of speakers like that for a while... not ideal, but it worked.

I connect my iPad to an FM transmitter via the headphone jack. This lets me send the audio to any FM receiver within 1000 yards of the transmitter.

I picked up one exactly like this --> marxy's musing on technology: CZH-05B 500mW FM transmitter <-- from eBay for 60 bucks...
