IPad not connecting to PC

I am trying to get some videos shot with my IPad to my PC. I cannot transfer them through Windows Explorer because mt computer is not recognizing the IPad as a device when plugged in with the USB cable. I believe it may be an issue with the Apple USB driver. I have tried everything listed on the Apple help site related to this with no success. This includes rebooting both IPad and PC, reinstalling ITunes, and messing with the startup configurations.

Interestingly, I could, get ITunes to recognize IPad after a reboot but my videos did not sync. Even though ITunes found it, my PC still was not listing it as a device so I could not use Explorer to copy videos to the PC.

Anyone know how to fix this?

Try using a different USB port, preferably USB2.0. You could also try a different cable.

Why not just email yourself the videos? Or plonk them in a cloud store or dropbox maybe?

I tried all my USB ports. Can't email because it says files are too large. Unless I am missing something about the cloud, as far as I can tell it is only backing up my still photos to photo stream and not the videos.
