Halo,

I have a kind of similar problem and i restored the factory settings and uploaded the latest iOS. But the problem persists. The IPAD starts and then it dies again. The battery indication says that the level is low - I charge for long time but the same problem again, it will go down after 2-3 mins? The local apple shop quoted 350 EUR for repair! Now the tech dept of the shop i bought it from investigates. Appreciate your feedback since i am very unhappy that little over one year i bought i face such problem.

Yassas Yannis and welcome to the Forum!

How are you charging your iPad? Is it with the original charger which came with your iPad and are you plugging directly to a power outlet? Does the battery indicator show that it is indeed charging? The battery should still be good over that length of time even under heavy use. Have you left your iPad uncharged for a length of time?

great thanks a lot.
Well indeed i am not charging with the original charger but connect to my macbook through the USB - and also when it is charging it does not show that it is charging.
So what should I do, get myself a new charger for IPAD?

Right now i have send it to the tech team and i will not heat from then until 2 weeks they told me.

Thank you

If I'm not mistaken yanyax, the charge through the USB connected to a mac is a trickle charge, not enough to actually charge the iPad, a wall socket is the best way to charge your iPad. When you try this I think you will find your iPad is fine. Come back and let us know.

While your iPad will charge while connected to your MacBook it is only a very small trickle charge. It is best to charge your iPad from a wall outlet, so yes if you don't have a proper charger, get one and this should make the difference here.

Did you tell the tech team how you've been charging it? As they should know that this is not the way to go.

You weren't there a minute ago.....apologies for coming up behind you! Boo! ;)

Hey there again, so I took it back the ipad from the store i bought it and the bought a charge as you suggested.
I left for charging all night long and it reached 100% which indeed was not the case when i was plugging it to the mac book.

I was delighted when I could use the IPAD again but then again after 5 to 6 mins the screeen goes black and the apple shows again and then disappears and then appears again ... it does not work.

Ah, what's next? Appreciate your assistance.

Try a reset of your iPad.

Hold the power off button and the home button simultaneously, keep holding them in and you may see the power off slide appear and disappear, wait until you see the Apple logo appear before releasing the buttons. This may take anywhere between 20 to 30 seconds, so be patient. Once the Apple does appear, it will take a little longer for your iPad to start. Good luck!

.. and so i did. Pressed for around 30 seconds and then the apple appear but this time with one yellow, red and green light across the screen. and then it goes black again. And then it appears the apple again and disappears. but these times the visible screen seems like the corner are kind of round not perfectly square seems like the light is not there in the corners any more.:(

needless to say, pls help:rolleyes:
