Ipad Signature

I would like to know how to change the colour in an email signature too, and it is not clear to me from these threads. Any suggestions?

You have to put color coding, such as this, at the beginning of your signature, and this, at the end.

Strange..... I just tried adding this to my settings then went to the create new mail but instead of changing the colour it simply gave what I had typed in the settings as in:-
[COULOR=Blue]Sent from my iPad

I tried both 'COLOUR' & 'COLOR'

Clearly I have done something wrong that is staring me that much in the face I can not see it.

You spelt "color" wrong so it's not being identified as code.

Hexadecimal color code works, too. I just switched to color=9999cc

Besides spelling COLOR in capital letters, the name of the color is spelled in small letters. I edited your quoted post accordingly and your words are now in blue.

I think it's that word "COULOR" that was the culprit. The iPad being an American product (not necessarily where it is manufactured:)) you will need to use "COLOR"
This is the code for typing "Howdy" in red.....
[ COLOR=red] Howdy
I'm typing it like this to show you the code BUT there should be no gaps between [ and C, and between R and ]
I'll try it myself with that code but without those 2 gaps.
Howdy
Phew! That worked:)
Oops, Kevin and Scifan above got in before me

Agree guys, I did spell COLOR as COULOR but that was in the written example here which was a typing error, sorry guys..
In settings I tried both COLOR & COLOUR

I have also tried typing the colour (as in blue) all in lower case as well. Nothing seems to work.

Tried:-
Sent from my iPad
Sent from my iPad

Edit..... I don't believe it.... The first example works here but not in my settings. ?????

Your first example is the correct way to do it.

Beards, I see no siggie line at all. Try this, but using brackets instead of parentheses:

(color=blue)Sent from my iPad(/color)

Give up on the UK spelling, and go with the flow. :)

milliHelen: amount of beauty required to launch one ship.

What do you mean by not in your settings?
Settings/mail contacts calendar/mail/signature

Oh I gave up on the UK spelling. I also tried your '()' brackets as well but they didn't work.
I'm now sure the problem is to do with the Settings/mail contacts calendar/mail/signature set up. I don't believe it supports scripts.

Edited: I am so sorry guys in wasting your time. Of course these signature changes only apply here, they do not apply in the Settings App.
I should have picked up on this ages ago but no I got sidetracked into thinking the colour could be changed for the Mail Signature App.
As a Senior Consultant Surgeon where detail is paramount I should have known better. I honestly can not believe I did not think of this earlier or worse let you all know the problem was not here but in the Settings Mail.

Walks away with head of shame........

No worries, Beards. Your first example was the best anyway. And probably a useful exercise as a recap for a number of us. And while you're there, I've been having this pain in ..... ;)
