Ipad to tv new member help

Hello!

I'm new here so bear with me. I have an ipad 3rd generation. Trying to figure out exactly what I need to connect it to
my TV. This is what I've found so far.
1. Either an Apple digital AV adapter or an MX3328 Dock to HDMI adapter.
2. An MX2691 HDMI cable.
Can anyone tell me if these items would work?

The Apple AV Adaptor with a good HDMI cable does the trick. I don't know what the MX codes are, are they a particular brand of HDMI cable?

I saw an article the other day that tested HDMI cables.
They asserted that the cheapest were as good as the dearest.
The HDMI cable I bought was expensive, next time I will buy the cheapest.

Well there is cheap and then there is cheap! I guess you can tell when a cable looks too cheap.

My "good" HDMI cable can be read as "in working order"
