iPad troubleshooting

I'm hoping that this is the place to get assistance with an iPad problem. My on-screen keyboard is frozen on top of my calendar and there is no response, no matter what keys I push. Any ideas on how to fix this?

Time for a reboot. Press and hold the Power and Home buttons together for a long time - could be up to 20 seconds - until the white Apple logo appears. Have faith - it will appear. Then the iPad will reboot - takes a while too. No apps or data will be lost and you'll soon be back to normal
